Mumbai is a very vibrant megacity where life never comes to a standstill. Its population is estimated to have reached at least 17 million people, but nobody knows the exact figure. Mumbai is full of contrasts, where very modern buildings like this office tower in central Nishla market while the traffic in the street can be very varied, in particular with the well loved, but very dated Ambassador limousines. In the foreground at the right corner is one of these Ambassador limousines which are used by taxi operators - like the one in the picture - as well as by private owners.

Hi Urs. Pertinent photo. We just finished watching Slumdog Millionaire. Such a heart-breaking world we live in. Judy

A daily life shot of a busy street, the big skyscraper is the real eye catcher.
Very good work of a particular subject. You play excellent with light and shadow and contrasts.
Good composition and presentation, TFS.
Have a nice sunday,

a fantastic street-life scene so different from usually seen, so particular and full of life in all elements.
I like the colours, so natural, and the management of light.
Have a great week.

This image correspond exactly to the idea I have of Mumbai, a city where I was only for about 24 hours almost 14 years ago - modern buildings a bit on the ugly side and a chaotic mix of old cars, many Ambassadors, of course, people, etc. Good capture!

The same Mumbai's street scene, that I have seen.
About Abassador cabs. We say for this simply cars:"you can to repair on knees". But this black cars not for this heat, I think, the engine needs more cool air.
Have a good sunday!
