Photographer’s Note

Three men sitting under a passageway in Udaipur.

They've told me they were sadhu, so I ask them where were their make-up. They said they were coming out from sleeping and bathing... The one in the middle had a sword.

They were very friendly and didn't ask for money, so maybe they were real sadhu without mask.

Hello André,
Interesting guys, certainly the most plainclothed sadhus I've ever seen. You had a very good light in this spot, and it brings out the colours really nicely with no harsh shadows.

Comme le dit Bertrand, Je ne serais pas rassuré en passant seul devant ces trois personnes.
Dans tout les cas, tu sembles les avoir facilement convaincues de se faire photographier.
Les couleurs sont comme toujours très vives dans ces pays.
Peut-être qu'un format carré aurait été plus approprié ici.

Noway Jose, these guys are the 3 musketeers not 3 Amigos. One for all and all for one! What is the name of the third musketeer is the million dollar question from “Slumdog Millionaire”

I love this very casual portrait, almost a little animated. Each one of them has a distinct character and personality. Excellent quality as always. My admiration.
