Au Cachemire, la route qui conduit de Srinagar à Kargil longe de près la frontière pakistanaise, sur les tracés des anciennes routes de la soie.  Même si la soie emprunte à present les voies aériennes, on voit encore sur ces routes beaucoup de nomades conduisant leurs troupeaux de chèvres, de moutons ou de chevaux     

In Kashmir, the road from Srinagar to Kargil skirts the pakistanese border, on the traces of old silk roads . 
Even if silk is now transported by air, one still meet there many nomads leading their herds of goats, sheep or horses

très beau portrait avec un arrière-plan neutre qui le met en avant. L'expression est intéressante même si j'ai un peu de mal à la "lire"....

Hello Patrick,
It's not easy to tell this man apart from a Pashtun of Pakistani or Afghan heritage. The traditions and style would be more or less the same all over. As devout Muslims they are not supposed to approve of being photographed but I noted in Afghanistan long ago that the men were generally quite eager to have their portraits taken. This man has a magnificent beard and you seem to have establised a good eye-contact with him.

Un intéressant portrait de ce nomade au regard fixé vers l'objectif. Le cadrage et la netteté sont bons; le visage n'est peut-être pas tout à fait éclairé....mais on n'a pas toujours son réflecteur blanc sur soi en voyage -)

Le regard farouche est impressionnant, mais pas agressif. L'expression est saisie au bon moment. J'apprécie le détail des vêtements. Le portrait est fait dans les règles de l'art avec un flou arrière utile. la lumière, les couleurs naturelles et la netteté sont excellentes. Bravo.
