Photographer's Note

A yak grazing in Yumthang Valley.
Located in the North Sikkim at an elevation of 3,575 metres, this valley is covered with rhododendron shrubs and trees of various species.
The valley is well known for its hot springs, which are slightly saline in taste and are believed to have high therapeutic values. The water of the spring emits sulphurated hydrogen gas and its temperature is 106 degree. The water of the spring with such composition is believed to be beneficial for skin diseases.

fascinating the view of the place with the carefree grazing yak to adds life in the image.I like the endless view of the place with the glance to stop on the snowy mountain range on the backdrop.Well done.

Bonjour Miguel,

A spectacular alpine backdrop to the yak, with good sharpness & shadow detail despite the harsh back lighting. I like how the diagonal lines of the hill slopes either side, converge on the yak. Tfs!

il panorama è bellissimo e ottima l'idea di includere nel FG lo yak per dare profondità prospettica all'immagine.
L'inserimento dello Yak secondo le regole canoniche dell'inquadratura (regola dei 2/3) doveva però essere un po' decentrata.
Ti ho fatto pertanto un WS dove ho anche dato un po' di mordente alla immagine.
Spero che ti piaccia.

Hello Miguel,

A calm and peaceful scenery with so many interesting layers and on the focus there is a grazing yak. I like the depth sense you achieved here, the eye focuses on the grazing yak and then moves through the layers of surrounding hills and terminates in the majestic snowy mountain.The colors, sharpness and clarity are all great. A lone Yak caring only about the green pasture around hime, probably the high mountains view he is used to from early age...
