The lowering of the flags ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border is a daily military practice that the security forces of India (Border Security Force, BSF) and Pakistan (Pakistan Rangers) have jointly followed since 1959. It happens at the border gate, two hours before sunset each day. The drill is characterized by elaborate and rapid dance like manoeuvres and raising legs as high as possible, which have been described as "colourful". It is alternatively a symbol of the two countries’ rivalry, as well as brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations. Source : wiki

Hi Miguel.A ceremony that I think has become a spectacle for tourists like the famous changing of the guard in front of Buckingham Palace. And indeed there are so many tourists, it's always difficult to make a good photo in the midst of so much confusion, yours is more than good and we can see the guards in an excellent way. Hello Miguel,
This is where I entered India the very first time in 1972. There were no parades but it was a major event in my life and I still remember clearly how I took my first step on Indian ground. I also remember a large group of Indian prisoners of war were being sent back to their country the same day, when the border was only open for a few hours once a week. The relations between the two countries are still tense, but these soldiers perform a basically peaceful ritual for the pleasure of the tourists. It's a nice photo with good colours and an interesting note.

I saw some movies with this military show. you got a nice view here with the public and the soldiers well positioned.curious thing, probably the only borderline in the history with this kind of "provocation".
