Photographer's Note

This photograph of a sunset over some of the temples in the hilltop fort of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, was scanned from a negative, so I do not have exposure details. I did not have a tripod with me, so I took it with the camera resting on a rock. The fireball effect of the sun is caused by dust in the air. Rajasthan is a wonderful part of India to visit for photography, but I haven’t been back since converting to digital, so I will have to find time to scan some more negatives when I have time. This was scanned to tiff, touched up with the PS healing brush to remove a few specks of dust in the sky, levels adjusted slightly to reduce the shadow on the temple, contrast reduced -15, saturation increased +8, then converted to jpeg and sharpened.
