These three gypsy children appeared out of the blue when the bus - that was taking me to Bikaner - broke down; a not so unusual event seen the quality of the Indian roads!
The whole bus with mainly local people was stuck there for a while – although we were fortunate enough that the chauffeur could fix the problem within 5 hours!
These 3 children stayed around us all the time. The girl in purple only disappeared once to get these little flower blossoms which she tried to sell me.
I carried a little stock of food on me and I gave them what I had.
The charity of the local people touched me. Even though they have very little themselves, they shared it as much as they could with this little family.
The threesome stole my heart with their playfulness, but the hard reality of their poverty shone through in their mature eyes.
Misery becomes a bare fact when you travel to underdeveloped countries and it keeps shimmering through your mind, always.

Beau triple portrait, Sabine, on sent cette gravité commune à ces enfants qui n'ont pas véritablement l'enfance qu'ils devraient avoir, dans ces visages.
J'aime bcp ces trois couleurs et la roche derrière aussi.
merci d'être passée, je n'ai pas laissé de commentaires sur tes photos depuis un moment...

drie verschillende gelaatsuitdrukkingen : ernst in de ogen van het meisje in het blauw, droefheid bij de jongen, en bij het derde kind weet ik niet echt wat het is.

Hello Sabine - more great colours from India. I love the different expressions on each of the children's faces. I think it needs a little sharpening though.
