We came out of the temple into the scorching sun.

This is a view of the Temple Guest House, which is located in the temple compound. Guests were housed in this building, when they visited the temple from far off places. It is basically a dormitory type of structure with sculptured pillars but not frontal covering like doors etc. If you notice on the top left of the pillar in the FG, you would notice squarish holes appearing in two rows. These holes continue through the entire inner roof lintel of the guest house. I understood from a guide that these holes were used for drawing curtains when guests were there, and theropes/drawstrings of the curtains passed through these holes.

I chose this perspective because of the trees, which stand in the courtyard. The shadows of the trees on the ground looked appealing. I had tried to do some post processing to enhance the effect of the shadow & have posted the same in the WS. But in my personal opinion, the original reflects the true conditions when I took this shot

Hi Angshu,
Another great shot from Lepakshi. It looks the trees are just following all the art present around. Very nice combination. Great light with balanced exposure of the sunny and shadows parts.
Take care
Ricardo

Hi Angshu - original subject, what a guest house! I prefer the original version, the light and shades look more delicate. Overall - a great composition, TFS! Daniel

angshu,
i agree with daniel, i like the original version too.
it seems to me that without the human elements at the far end you could think of this place as a part of daily life moment in our recent history. you have captured the essence of the place and moment very well with your pov and great color.

Hello Angshu,
Interesting point of view! Very pleasing with the strong diagonal...
Exposure is well managed, good framing and lots of superb details... Well done on this one, my friend!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Nice perspective! The tree is a wonderful detail, cutting the rock scene and adding some green to it. Well done capture!

Zeca

Hi Angshu,
At last some fresh air...
You know how to express well and write very good notes. Interesting one in WS, but this is by far much better as it is more natural and with a well balanced lighting.
I love this perspective of the courtyard and composition, with this pillar in foreground. The detail described in your note adds much interest to the image and the quality is just fine. The tree enhance nicely the photo. Very good work!
Friendly regards,
Ricardo

Good perspective in this shot thanks to your chosen POV. Nice to see the green contrast with the earth colours. Difficult lighting conditions have been managed well.
Best wishes
Mark

I liked POV,framing,details and composition a lot!
Thanks Ana:)

Hi Angshuman,
Pretty frame of the courtyard with the columns under this hard sun light.
A good POV, the tree in the right side creates beautiful shades in the ground. Good definition in the photo, with good sharpness, good lighting, and pleasant colors.
It's a great work, my friend.
Regards,
Josep

That tree looks awesome, I really like the way its shadow makes patterns on the ground.

Nice composition here with the pillar and the temple framing the view and leading the eye to the coutyard where this attractive tree is standing. It's a pity the sky is so white, but we can't have everything.
Well done!

Hello Angshuman
Hehe, very interesting guest house. As I guess, there are no windows?
I like this almost one-colour image. And the trees - shapes are amazing.

Hello Angshu,
A wonderful image, superb colors and a lot of details in the stone pillar and in this fabulous tree.
Very good lighting management as well.
This is a great shot.
Regards. Christian

Hi Angshuman
I like your workshop better.TFS
Ramesh

Seen the three is nice among all the stones, even if they are nicely carved. The second one seems to be really next to the dormitory, nearly overhanging it. Do you know the use of the round space before the first tree : a old pool ?

All the best,

Emmanuel

Hi Angshuman,
I really like this one.
With this POV you show us the architecture of the Temple.
I like the inclusion of the tree, it complements the composition very well.
I like the original version but I also like this one...the light is good.
regards
Teresa

merhaba dear angshuman
very nice architecture picture.interesting india.beautiful pastel colours and tree.
best regards.

Anshuman my man,
Awesome. This is a great POV I should say.The shadows are great. They look enhanced in the WS but I like this one.The details in the pillar and the whole place is amazing. The holes on the beams.. architechtural marvel of olden times. How creative they could have been? Or is it by means of experience they get the thoughts?I always have been wondering.
You have captured this very well.Congrats and TFS-VIkram

Hi Angshuman
I like your angle of view here. The L shape has worked well and is nicely balanced by the tree. Good contrast and shadows to add some extra interest. Well composed.

Bonjour Angshuman
This beautiful inner yard seems to be a peaceful refuge for one's mind!!
The back row of pillars contributes as background to the 3 layered perspective.
Magnifique!
Robert
