Flock in the desert Photo

Photographer’s Note

During the trip between Mandawa and Jaiselmer we met some of these flocks crossing Tahr desert.
It was a long but good road.

HiLivia. Good composition from India. It shows how good some of the roads are these days. It seems strange to see sheep with tail intact. In this part of the world they are cut when lambs to reduce flystrike etc. Good clarity and colours. Best from downunder. Murray.

Hi Livia - I remember that road, though not all of it was good in 2002! Great catch here of the flock, with the characteristic vegeatation that one sees for hours and hours and hours and hours....

Good composition of sheep and road. they (the sheep) driving accurate on road. according india's regulations, in left of the road! ;-)

You've captured excellent detail in the coats of the sheep. The shepherds are doing a good job of keeping the sheep to one side of the road.
