A beautiful image, Partha, and this sunrise is IMO more interesting because there is some context attached to it with the boats and their passengers, also the other side of Varanasi, so eerily deserted...

Hi Partha Da,
This sure brings back fond memories. Visiting the ghats of Varanasi in the wee hours of the morning with people getting ready for their daily rituals, the pigeons being fed, the palwans at work, is an experience in itself. The muted sunrise with the pinkish glow, the boats in the foreground, makes for a wonderful composition.

The atmosphere is incredible!
The haze in the air after the hot day filteres the last rays from the setting sun, creating some wonderful colours for the end of day...

Wonderful picture from Varanasi..maybe one of your best shots. Excellent pastel hues of the with the vertical of the shimmering reflection of the rising sun. Do I see photographers in the boat or are they people offering suryapranam? Daruuun!

Olá Partha, I sure agree with you: sunrise in such a beautiful place is quite special and with some boats floating in the river it gets a magical vision and moment. This panoramic composition is quite atractive and I could stay looking at it for a long time. The boats at diferent distances create a nice depth and the soft tones of colors are wonderful.

A first rate panoramic capture of Varanasi. Indeed, it is so much better to provide the expansive horizontal view here. The subdued light, with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds makes this a memorable shot.The silhouettes of the boats and the pink reflection, on the foreground make the capture more interesting.Well done Partha.
