In Jaisalmer we stayed at a lovely old haveli - a private residence turned into an inn. When I noticed these door handles to our room, of course I had to take this picture.

Technical: Slight cropping, then Levels and Shadow/Highlights to bring out the image.

Hello Dan,

You and I share an interest in photographing the details of doors — old doors, replete with door knobs, missing screws — all exuding character. The burgundy and gold colors remind me of my football team, the Redskins, who happen to be playing against their perennial rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.

I wish you and your family a new year characterized by hope, health, happiness, and prosperity.
