Among the Coconuts
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
Travancore Heritage is located just 23 kms from Trivandrum, the capital city of the Indian state of Kerala, known as 'god's own country' in the southern most part of India.
The Travancore Heritage is a sea side resort in 15 acres of lush green coconut garden and landscaped environs located at Chowara - south of Kovalam, near Trivandrum, Kerala. The resort stands on a high cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea and a long wide beach of powdery white sand. The Travancore Heritage is conceived and developed as a Heritage Property to bring to life the age-old traditional architectural splendor of the region with its typical timber houses and 'Nalukettus' with tiled roofing, which allow for living in communion with all the elements of Nature.

Hi Murray and happy new year!
Here we have an excellent "blending" of nature and architecture photography! Excellent POV, framing and composition, beautiful colours. I just think, that with an increase of contrast, this photo could be even better!

Hi Murray,
I agree with Cretense, there is too little contrast in this photo. It really needs the contrast/brightness levels to be more balanced to be fully appreciated.
It is a well composed piece however; the position of the Travancore Heritage amongst the lush palm plantations is great. Possibly a little more sky would be a bonus? Good sharpness and image quality. I have prepared a workshop to demonstrate my ideas about contrast and colour. TFS, Happy 08!

Hello Murray,
You Altered Image #3 from Travancore Heritage is indeed PP but very lovely, I prefer this picture.
Splendid place for live between the palmtrees, good composition too.
Very well done, thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Murray
Well composed with good sharpness. Maybe I would add brightness & contrast? A nice, tropical scene, with superb colour contrasts, between the orange & green. Tfs!

Never liked the coconuts! As a product. But this photo is nice, with all the trees and greenery and house there in it. Haze adds something to the shot, feeling of hotness there, maybe.

Hi Murray,
very nice image. I like to see the predominant grees and the details of coconut tress. The inclusion of the architecture was a great addition since it breaks gracefully the "emptiness" of those greens. Very well done!
Regards,
Carlos
PS: late thanks for your words on my "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" post.
Hi Murray,
The house is well framed by the jungle or the palm trees, the point of view is giving depth to the photo, also allow us to see the beautiful colors of the image. Well donne, Happy New Year 2008.
