It was a chilly, windy and foggy afternoon time in Lepchajagat. The weather was at its freezing cold and the visibility was less.We were taking a walk through the uphill road and was getting covered by thick fog.

Now more about Lepchajagat:

Lepchajagat, is an offbeat destination in the district of Darjeeling in West Bengal. It lies on the road connecting Darjeeling (19 km) with Mirik. Located on a hill slope covered with rhododendron and oaks forests, Lepchajagat offers a rich diversity of nature.It is a place for those who enjoys serenity and calmness far from madding crowds,Hotels, markets of popular hill stations. The town of Darjeeling is visible from this place and an illuminated Darjeeling in the night makes an eye-catching view. The sight of the sunrise over Kanchenjunga is awe-inspiring. I often wonder why people visits Darjeeling and not Lepchajagat ..... But then, this is the reason why I enjoy this place so very much!!
The one and only accommodation there is the West Bengal Forest Development bungalow which offers 270 degrees of unobstructed view of the mountain ranges with beautiful food and specious wooden rooms.

Wow Dhurjati. This one is a painting on canvass. I simply love the mood and the ambiance which you have so wonderfully captured and presented here. The composition is remarkable and indeed very intense.

Wonderful composition with the disappearing tracks and the girl in red. Very dreamy effect with the fog . Thanks for the informative note also . Congrats and TFS !

Hello Dhurjati,

The fog look great again here. It add that special, dreamy and often romantic mood. It does feel cold looking at the scene though, and to think that this is in the afternoon. Good perspective and excellent use of the person ahead to create a faint focal point. This place look great. Thanks for sharing.
