[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
On the way to Yumthng in North Sikkim, one gets a wonderful view of the Nathula range. Here's a glimpse. A photo of the same view is here. These were actually captured from the same place, after an interval of hardly two minutes.
This was taken near Namok, a beautiful hamlet in Sikkim.

hello sagar

i like the severe mood in this one. the darkness in the foreground helps to accentuate that. however, i am not convinced, the mood was a sufficient reason for the loss of detail here. hmm... pondering, pondering :)) but, as i said, i do like the mood, friend!

warm regards,
kristaps

Hi Sagarneel
Very nice shot!Great atmosphere and good POV here, well done.
TFS/Regards

hi Sagar

You captured a very strong contrast from dark FG to bright clouds. The tone really changes to extreme.

Hi Sagarneel,

Particular atmosphere in this photograph. The contrast of light between the foreground and the mountain is well managed but I find a little the sky over-exposed. Surprising but interesting glance, thank you Sagarneel.

Dear Sagarneel,
the texture of the mountain surface is impressive. it is wild and severe in the natural view, and I like its not worldly.
of course lighting and contrast are nice to capture its characteristics.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Sagarneel,
I would align myself with Zmey on this one. I like the mood very much, but I regret the loss in quality and details...:-)

Hope you dad is recovering fully.
Take care dear

Hello Sagarneel
Like the V shape right in the centre...but I do miss the details. The dark FG leads up well to the snow peaks, but something is missing in this shot to make it appealing...can't exactly pinpoint what.
Best Wishes

Hi Sagar,

A special mood in there... WITH FINE LIGHTS AND TONES.
Good composition.
Well done, dear friend.
All the best:)

Hi Sagarneel,
Almost there! 1 more shot and you'll reach a century too. A gorgeous view of the Himalayan mountains, you are lucky to see this. I think the top is too white and the bottom too dark but that is actually creating a nice ambiance. I like it. Let me guess..your 100th will be a Mt K, right :)??
Regards,
Shaeri

Ello Sagar! Thanks much for comments on my shots. I wasnt here for a while but Im back in this game ;-)

Cheers

hi sagar,
this could have been a beautiful photograph if you had gone a bit easy on the pp work - think the contrast and sharpness is more than necessary and that why the upper part is blown out. plz do a repost if things work out as i suggested.

regards
somak

Hi Sagarneel!

Magnificent, majestic panorama of this beautiful mountain range, the huge contrasts of the photo have created a beautiful and little bit "haunting" atmosphere. Great framing and composition. Congratulations!

Hi Sagarneel,

luckily you do not post very often and that's how you make my job easier when trying to catch up. :) I have some time today to finally look at what's new here. I guess I've missed a lot of good shots but no way I'm gonna miss this one! :) Love the almost BW output here. It gives great result, mountain view with slight graphical touch. Love the contrast between completely dark foreground left to our imagination and bright view revealing after leaving dark woods. Simply wonderful!

Wish you a lovely day,
Jeri

Hi Sagarneel

Hi Sagarneel,

IMO the view and compo has a lot of potential, but the low technical quality almost ruins it all. The dark FG is perhaps a good idea, but the burnt out sky doesn't look nice and the sharpness on the slopes could be better.

However, it is still a powerful image and I have to thank you, Shaeri and a couple of other Indian friends for showing this less viewed part of the Himalayas. In my dreams I imagine myself having to decide between visiting Ladak, Nepal and Sikkim. ;-)

Regards, José.

Hey, A beautiful place to be and a nicely framed landscape. The lack of clarity and detail is a bit distracting. But thanks for sharing this place with us!
