The picture is about a boy and his camel, a bit lost in the immensity of the Pushkar's Camel Fair, the biggest camel fair in the world.
Pushkar (Hindi: पुष्कर) is a town in the state of Rajasthan in India. Pushkar means born due to a flower. In Hindu mythology it is said that the gods released a swan with a lotus in its beak and let it fall on earth where Brahma would perform a grand yagna. The place where the lotus fell was called Pushkar. It is situated 14 Km from Ajmer and is one of the five sacred dhams (pilgrimage sites for devout Hindus.) It is often called "Tirth Raj" - the king of pilgrimage sites - and has in recent years become a popular destination for foreign tourists.
Pushkar lies on the shore of Pushkar Lake. It has five principal temples, many smaller temples and 52 ghats where pilgrims descend to the lake to bathe in the sacred waters. One of the primary temples is the 14th century temple dedicated to Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. Its populations is about 14.000 people.
The Pushkar Fair, or Pushkar ka Mela, is the world's largest camel fair held in the holy town of Pushkar in the state of Rajasthan, India. The Pushkar fair is indubitably the world's largest camel fair (and indeed, world's largest cattle fair in general), with more than 50.000 cattle (specially camels) in it.
I tried to focus on the boy, and let the rest of the people and cattle a bit unsharp, to increase the sensation of being lost in the fair.
I hope you enjoy the picture
Best Regards

hello Victor,
excellent work, I like a lot the smart use of selective focus to emphasise the "small kid in the big world" feeling of this photo, it certainly works very well. tight framing is essential to convey the sense of being in the middle of a crowd, and you have succeeded once again. really fine work, my compliments.
with best regards,
Kristine
Hola Victor,
Mirari

Beautiful confusion over Pushkar fair.I particulary like the colored center, with lost child and animal. I regret the vertical piece of wood, center left, that could be avoid . Interesting shot + note.
