Shey, Leh-Ladakh - altitude 3385 m
Shey Gompa is a Buddhist monastery in the Indus Valley, about 15km southeast of Leh. The ruins of Shey Fort is seen in the distance
It takes about 30 minutes from Leh by local bus, its fare is only 10Rs. It's a very enjoyable mini trip to be able to catch a glimpse of a part of life of the local people. |

Hello Hisashi,
I like the architecture of the monastary, especially the white one.It is impressive how nicely connected with the rocks.
Very well seen and composed!
Greetings,
Thomas
Hello Hisashi,
A fine POV, making the area around Shey look even more sterile and grey than I remember it from 23 years ago. In my diary from that journey I made notes about the extremely crowded bus from Leh. The highlight of the day was the walk through the valley to Thiksey.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Hisashi,
Nice point of view giving a great perspective ending up on the monastery. The variety of stone material from the foreground to the background is well rendered and gives a nice depth to the image.
Have a nice day.
Best regards, Christian
Nice POV that gives the picture depth. Alfred
