ON PANPATIA GLACIER
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
We have just got on the glacier and there are numerous streams formed due to th melting snow and ice. usually the streams run along the line of a crevasse which splits later on in mid July to early September. The crevasses are wide open then and are easier to navigate but is painfully time consuming. Pre-monsoon the crevasses are covered with snow and hidden. IT is dangerous but much faster.
If you look at my earlier posts of Auden's Col photos you will realize what I am saying. This place will be a maze of crevasses in August.

Amazing mountain shot. I like the small figures over the glaciers, and the sort of frozen river in the middle of it.
Regards Stefano
Hi Rajib,
That's a really good mountain shot. There are snow and ice, mountain in the background (the river in the foreground is leading the eye to this mountain), and some people walking on the snow.
Good job !
Stephane
