| Just back from exploring Dooars during Monsoon.Murti is another offbeat wonder of Dooars though offlate many bengali films have been shot in this very place and this old bridge has been a major part as the location.Murti is the name of a river flowing down from the Kalimpong hills.Murti as a place is situated besides the same river in the Chapramari forest of Gorumara National Park. It is about 15 km from Lataguri town and about 18 km from Chalsa. It is well connected with Siliguri (80kms) by road. The place is being promoted as a tourist destination by the West Bengal forest department (WBFDC). It is the only place in Dooars from where one can get the entry tickets and permits to explore the wilderness of Gorumara, Chapramari and Jaldapara forests. |

Hi Dhurjati. Well composed photo, good depth and wonderful natural framing. Excellent sharpness and details also. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.
a very uncommon picture of Murti...well composed.. the sprawling tree on the top, is creating a nice effect...
Hello Dhurjati,
Yes I remember this bridge when I went the last time..the river was all dry and infact I went down to the river also..this is a nice one with good POV chosen here,,!!this shot is looking all the more good because of the over hanging branches and the shade which is there till 30% of the bridge...good one..!!
Regards
Indro
This bridge and the POV never fails to amaze me. Though I have never been there, thanks to TE I have grown to love it. It make a nice comparision with your & Sabyasachi's earlier post of the same place.
