...and as i promised yesterday...here i introduce the real hero of my darjeeling trip...this land rover is more than 50 years old...was made in birmingham...brought here by a british settler in Darjeeling in 1954...and then sold to a local taxi driver for a stunning Rs 100 grands!!! this noisy giant still rules the 32 kilometre stretch from maneybhanjan to sandakfu...carrying u ration, people, even cattle!! i was fortunate to be the only rider during my trip...
it broke down several times on the road...in this picture the rear tyres were stuck in the mud on its way up...while my driver and helper were busy looking for some help...i chose to put the real hero of my trip in a frame...
due to a very un-photographic weather the output was too dull to post...so had to do a bit of PP...especially the tone and contrast
