Photographer’s Note

Also known as the (mini) Niagara Falls of India, this waterfalls is 35 kms from Jagdalpur, in the state of Chattisgarh. Being one of the most naxal affected states in the country, the beauty and force of this water falls is little known, also owing to limited commercialization and development of tourism by the government. The area around this falls is guarded by an army of plain-clothed security guards with AK-47 rifles.

But coming to this place was nothing short of amazing, the force of the water falls stuns you. Watching the Indravati river drop into this little gorge, that can only be accessed from one side. (the view this picture was taken) The water is muddy in the rainy season but clear and beautiful in the other seasons.
