Photographer’s Note
The LaxmanJhula bridge in rishikesh spans the entire width of the river Ganges. Built in the 1920s after a flood washed away an earlier bridge this was the first 'jeepable' bridge in Uttranchal. this bridge is a major tourist spot and millions of people take this bridge across the river, often stopping at various places in between to take in the spectacular views. Standing in the center of the bridge a person will feel the rythimic up and down swaying movement as people and two wheelers share the same space.
