Photographer’s Note

I am just back from a trip to Puri in Orissa. This is my first upload.
This fisherwoman was waiting at the beach for the boats to come back with the catch. She was waiting and watching the little boys playing with the waves. Probably she was remembering her own son who had gone to the sea with his father. It is a hard life for this people and this is waiting is a part of their daily existence.
Sometimes the boats do not come back and it becomes a life full of waiting for these women.

this is a nice picture and a good POV of this woman looking at the sea which gives certainly a lot to this people but which can also be source of dispair.
