She is living in a village on Eastern Java. Her small house is made of wood and corrugated iron. Outside her house she has a small shop. I have been so lucky to be invited to stay with her and her family. We use to get up 4 o'clock in the morning to drive to the bazaar to buy vegetable for her small shop. We wash the clothes in cold water by hand. We cook on open fire. We play badminton. We swim in the river. We visit friends and family. I watch her pray. She is mostly smiling. But what's on her mind.....

A tender image that coupled with the story radiates just as the sun rays through the window. An experience such as you have had is priceless, living here is so, so, so, much different to just passing through and even the as you say you cannot understand what is really on her mind.
I dont think its one of your best technically, but I think its an open image for you.

What a wonderful experience to actually stay with a family on your travels. You have captured a very good candid portrait of your hostess. The ray of sunlight in the top corner adds an excellent extra element to the scene.
