Photographer's Note
Another shot taken on a walkabout:
Traditional canoes sitting on a late afternoon where they landed as the tide fell at a remote Oelaba beach, Rote island. The isolated mangrove trees on a long coastline also became something of an attraction to me, and the beach appeared to be overtaken by carpets of slimy yellowish algae which I found very interesting
```````````````````````````````````````````
Ndao Rote island got its name accidentally when a lost Portuguese sailor in the 16th century arrived on the island in search of fresh water and asked a farmer where he was. The surprised farmer, who could not
speak Portuguese, introduced himself, "Rote"
This least visited southernmost island of Indonesia lies only about 170 km away from Australia's Ashmore and Cartier Islands
Hello Abmdsudi,
A fantastic photo of this beach. First of all the pattern of the sand is beautiful, especially thanks to the sidelight and the many patches of green. The two lonely mangrove trees are a wonderful and surprising feature as well and the small stranded boat is very well placed right in between them. Very well spotted and captured.
Wonderful photo. I like it. All the cool photo-artistic techniques apply. Looks like the movies just before the big tidal wave hits. Great work !!
Hello Abmdsudi
A beautiful image with the trees and boats in the distance and the rugged deserted beach in the foreground.
A beautiful image that can be photographed in different ways by placing the horizon at the top (as in your photo) in the middle or at the bottom.
Attractive experiments.
Excellent work
Have a good weekend, groet Rob
Hello Abmdsudi,
This is a very unusual photograph, the beach highly textures and partially covered with the green algae. The light on its wet surface really sets the scene.
It makes a fine prelude to the strongly placed focal, stranded canoes, backed by the isolated mango trees.
My warm regards,
Bev😊
Hello Abmdsudi, the composition is very interesting, where three quarters of the shot is the wet and textured sand, and the trees and boats are in the distance. It is excellent!
The tiny splashes of colour from the boats complete the picture.
Interesting notes.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.
Wow, this is an impressive shot, Abmdsudi. It looks like the sea has not just retreated but altogether vanished here!
Hello abmdsudi,
The lights are simply amazing here, and the colours, too help the picture: the contrast between the yellowis-greenish fg and the blue sky is also spectacular.
Best Wishes,
Gy.
Hi Abmdsudi.
A sensational composition, with this view of the low tide, here it has great influence because it does not even see the sea in the distance, curious the effect of the algae in the sand, as we see in the foreground, the boats stranded there and The green of these two mangrove beds complete this beautiful image.
An image to enjoy, with its beautiful color, great luminosity and perfect sharpness.
Superbly captured. I love.
Happy start of the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
Hello
The daily lives captured in your photography gives me an insight into places I might not ever go. Beautiful photo here.
The idea is simple as it shows off the tide conditions, but you seem time and again to capture the most magical sides of everyday scenes.
I would probably try to keep some more sky in the photo, perhaps even considered a square framing, but even like this it captured the essence of the scene.
Thanks for sharing.
Hiya Abmdsudi
The lateral light sculpts the sandy beach at low tide, the skyline is interruted by some trees of the mangrove and some fishing boats waiting for the hight tide.
Cheers
Hello Abmdsudi,
An interesting picture indeed showing a beach where the tide goes out really far, wiyth trees strangely growing on the beach ! The ripples and algae give a great effect. Was that beach sandy or muddy ?
Thanks for sharing and kind regards.
Marie-Louise.
