[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
We were in Borobudur one month ago. We had a very good guide, which explained many things about this wonderfull place. He even gave me the idea to make this composition, which is beautiful (I think so at least ;-) )

Sure it's nice and you managed to create a mistical atmosphere. But maybe the composition lacks a little bit of imagination.

I like the idea of the silouette and having the statue eclipse the sun. The only thing that I can think of that could have improved this would be a less hazy sky, but that is obviously out of your control. Maybe that would have created more of a "starburst" effect where the sun is eclipsed by the head.

Hi Mathieu, beautiful photos of effect with the silouette of the statue that covers the sun and with the magnificent panorama of the background, good beginning, welcome on TE
Ciao Silvio

Personally I don't think this needs any improvement. Simple idea, excellent composition, good exposure, beautiful result. Really nice.

hi mathieu,

a nice shoot of buddha, i like the contrast light.

tfs

Such a powerful silhouette! I love this effect, with the warmth of the sun lending the picture so much more of a level of comfort that makes you feel so serene inside.

OK, that's maybe a lot of drivvel, but your picture says so much more than can really be put into words.

I was in Thailand once and saw numerous shrines and temples, but your picture makes me want to go to Indonesia now...

On a visit to India I also had an excellent guide which made the trip so much more memorable. He was a Brahman, spoke Hindu, English, German and French and was such a fount of knowledge. And yet so modest. And proud of his country. Such people are hard to find.

For a note to be useful, it doesn't have to be 300 words long. Sometimes it's possible to say so much with just a few words (unlike me, ha!).

Merci, Mathieu
