[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Taken with my wide angle lens in Surabaya's old town. I liked the way the wide angle distorted the kids to give them this "elastic" look.

The photo was taken on an alleyway behind the market close to a coranic school.

Dear Daniel,
indeed you used very well the effect of the wide angel here for the portraits, very nice managed the perspective and composition,I like this kind of POV and look, well worked and I think the kind of their looking here towards us a great point for the shot,Nicely done,
Best Wishes
M

Good idea and a beautiful presentation!
TFS,
Izabela

salut daniel, j'aime vraiment bcp ce genre de cadrage au plus près des personnages...

It's a great pov Daniel. The wide angle distortion produced a striking composition. The exif says you are at 10mm and I believe it. I probably would have pushed ISO a little higher (>400) in order to get sharper results. And if you shoot RAW I am sure you can still get some detail out of that white hat. A good photo but it could have been better. :)

Salut, Daniel.
J'aime bien ce haut POV ici ainsi que l'effet de la distorsion.
Une bonne prise, j'aime beaucoup.
Amitiés, Grazyna.

Hola Daniel.

Curioso POV este que nos presentas hoy. Me gusta. Es algo diferente y, por tanto, llamativo.

Un saludín, Oscar
PD: Hoy tengo mi TE-quedada con JosepMarin y Andante.

Good shot Daniel. Perspective is good as we look down on the boy. I also like that effect on the alleyway walls as they come together in the background.

Salut Daniel.

The wide angle lens works so well. I love the perspective on the boy's beautiful faces. I like the way the right boy looks to you and the otherone who observes his friend. Nino

ciao Daniel, fantastic image!!
i love the use of this wide angle so strong!
the expressions you have captured are great and also the tones!
BRAVOOOO!
:)))
ciao!

Usually I'm not so keen on these extreme wide focal lengths for photographing people, but it works really well here.
I like the expressions you captured, and combined with your inventive framing makes for quite an amusing image. There's a good dynamism too, with the rapidly converging lines of the alleyway.
If you could have strained to get a bit higher, and angled the camera down a bit more, you could have included the whole of the kid's left foot in-frame, but I don't think it matters that much.
You needed to close the exposure down a bit to avoid the burn-out on his white hat though.
I like this - inventive use of a focal length that most of us wouldn't associate with portraiture.
Good work Daniel.

Cheers,
Ben

Salut Daniel, you have a wonderful a great gallery, this one photo has a special angle-point of view.
Perfect framed and the focus works very good.
Best wishes.
Evan

What else can offer the things to a photographer that a wide angle lens can?
Where is up, where is down, where is top, where is bottom, where is round, where is straight?
I am always going to be amazed by the disssstortions that a 10-20 lens can give. I also like your POV, which shows the kids as dwarves. Oh, wanna have something like that hat as well :)

ps: i am also impressed by the Vodafone ad.

Some people have reservations against wide angle effects. I don't, I think the accentuated diagonals are part of its charm.. and accentuated it is here.
Good light brown colors, watch out for the blown out white areas also I'm not so sure about the focus, which seems on his hat rather than on his eyes (might be the lens, a bit on the soft side).

Nice catch Daniel. Good POV and title. I think the perspective created by the wide angle, combined with your title, really works here. Love the composition, with the expressions of the boys sort of "building" towards the viewer, with the one in the background looking at the boy in the foreground who is than looking at the camera. A nice looking shot.

Good work
John

Hello daniel. One does not go past at this picture. The camera angle is so unusual that one must regard it simply. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Salut Daniel,

Ton PDV est super bien vu, ça donne vraiment le caractère à la photo. En plus, le léger flou après le 1er garçon me plaît bien.

Amicalement,
Stéph.

Hi Daniel,

amazing POV in warm tones, this is really good work..

Take care, Ivana

This way of portraying kids is creative and very effective, I like it ! Bravo,
Cath.
