Photographer's Note
Just one year has passed from that last tremendous tragedy. That ocuurred at 14:46 on 11 Mar 2011, and after that the situation in Japan has changed dramatically. Due to support from all over the world, now "a revival" is under way but the problem coming from "nuclear power station destruction" is anticipated to continue 50 yeras or more. The follwing figure (as of yesterday)still remains very serious ;
the dead: 15,854 person
the missing : 3155 person
the refugees : 343,935 person
the debris : 22,530,000 tons
From this morning all TV channels are braodcasting the special programme. I sometimes cannot stop falling tears when I see the video movies and interview for the victims. I am in mourning for all victims today.
Nevertheless, we, all Japanese never give up and never dispose hopes and desire, and should go forward the future with positive thinking and mind.

Dear Takero
I regret with you, because every human suffering, suffering is not just one nation, but of all humanity.
We are people, related to each other.
Last year's tragedy in Japan is really a cry for it.
The information provided are terrible.
I want to people all over Japan, for which the whole world thinks you're a strong nation, that the sooner return to normal life.
Probable that such a catastrophe can not be rehabilitated through the night, and that the consequences remain.
The honor and eternal glory of victims.
To you I personally want the best of luck, and cheerful themes in the photographs.
Kind regards
Saša

Dear Takero,
I shared your sorrow as I read this and remembered that terrible tradgedy. Modern technology meant that the whole world witnessed the horrific event and could offer help. However, it is the Japanese people who live with the sadness and the consequences.
May I wish you solace and fortitude on this memorial day.
With my good wishes,
Bev :-)

Greetings Takero
I dropped by to commemorate the devastating tragedy that deeply etched the hearts of the people of Japan but all over the world as well. A year has passed, it came by so fast and your country dealt with it rapidly, simply showing the world how courageous efficient, and systematic Japanese people are. I pray that all will be well soon and may the scared hearts of the people be healed.
I leave you Takero, with this video that I watched earlier. It struck me and brought me down and tears naturally flowed out of my eyes. To all of our TE Friends, please watch this video.
My sentiments and prayers are with you. God bless Japan, God bless our Earth.
Arigato from the Japan Earthquake Victims
And finally, I leave you with these quote, The Earth is our home and we share it with others who seem very different from us. But we share the same values...of kindness, compassion and gratitude. May we live these values everyday and pass it on to others. - Mark Carpio
Happy Sunday!

Caro Takero

Hello Takero,
Here in NYC we also had some special television programs and newspaper articles about the one year anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami. It is very sad to see the videos and photos of the disaster, and think about all the people who died. Your photo is a nice tribute, full of red, hopeful color. I will continue to send love and positive energy to your beautiful country.

Hello Takero,
The photo is a strong symbol. I admire the composure of the Japanese people, given the magnitude of the catastophe, and its consequences, very durable. We can certainly rebuild the cities and villages destroyed by the tsunami. It will be harder to decontaminate surfaces contaminated by radioactive substances, to very long lifetime. Excellent quality. Bravo.
Have a nice day
