Photographer's Note
A bridge in Hiroshima. I can't remember which one (an half an hour on google was no help :))but it was one of the bridges left standing in 1945 on the Motoyasu River (maybe Motoyasu Bridge - anyone know?). I liked it better in black and white and just sharpened a bit.
Everyone knows about Hiroshima, but I think certain unnamed persons on all sides of the story should be made to go there every year, just to sit and think about what they aim for.
Normal people can do this from home, but it might take a distillation of remembered horror that is the Peace Museum to affect our leaders.
Hiroshima is more than the peace park, though. Definately worth having a look around the city.
Cheers

a wonderful comment and it made the viewer reflect very differently on the photo, as at first all we see is a river and bridge that could have been from anywhere. i think the use of black and white is excellent to describe the place and the mood you were trying to create, i hope that your thoughts on bringing people together to contemplate events like these occur, ciao.
