Photographer’s Note
This was taken in Kobe last year, I was looking back at my pics of the past and I found this one. I remember seeing a man with a camera pointing at something and it was these birds but his positioning was all wrong, so after I took some pics I suggested maybe some other angles and he was there for a good 30 mins taking pics with a smile on his face.
My concentration were on these birds and I guess when you look up you attention is on the birds, now I look back and I see that the background is wonky.
I hope you like the pic as is

Here in Belgium (Flemish) the sparrows are counted, people who ask help with, because there is none lives occasion here. It are 23 sparrows together on you photograph. Very difficult for all sparrows lovely sharp at make, I find those wonderful.
Thanks for visiting my photograph.

Pauvres petites bêtes, qui n'ont que des plumes pour se réchauffer....
Belle prise Daniel.

It wasn't clear on the thumbnail what exactly the "things" on the roof might be, but it's a very pleasant surprise to see this flock of sparrows. Good focusing on the birds, and the surrounding shapes of roofs, windows and walls are quite delightful. It leans a little to the left but so be it as all the charm and attention is stolen by the birds anyway. Nice shot, Dan.

You did well, Daniel, to find so many little sparrows grouped together. I like the way you have captured them in all different types of position. I especially like the one on the left that appears to be lifting its wing. Good detail. Well done.

Composition is enhanced by the curving roof & dof. The birds are a bonus. Good color & sharpness.

Trés bonne profondeur de champ ici qui donne un bel effet de detaché.
Pour la quallité de la prise et les détails c'est exellent...

Oh - great to see sparrows living in Japan - somehow did i think they only lived around here - A special angle you this shot in (wonder if it would be possible to rotate and what the result would give) Never mind I like this one anyway.
Thanks Dan.

In a bigger format..yes, my concentration and/or focus are the birds. The yellow in the background is a bit distracting but we can't do anything about it. I like how the birds huddle together an dI can really feel the "cold" out there.

Nice place for the birds to gather. I was just looking out my window yesterday watching some small birds try to create a nest in the hole in my neighbor's eaves that they lived in during spring. And basically they just were hanging out at the warm spots of the roof much like this. It's a good view of the season. Nice depth of field on this shot and nicely captured with this perspective that allows the eye a dynamic feel. And I like the big window in the background with its warm looking light. It sort of adds two worlds. The birds' world and the humans' world. I tried a workshop on this just to give it more depth as it seems flat with this low contrast.

This it is an example of the advantage of all interesting opportunity... perhaps for me, the unnoticed situation was past.
Excellent... by the obtained perspective, the frame and its colorful one.
Perhaps the focus did not center exactly on the birds, but the composition is impeccable.

Like very much the pis as it is of course and I think it is bettter with a managed DOF like this.
The birds (here we call "piafs" or "moineaux") are very well caught with a three directions perspective.
I like it and think to do better would be to take from a ladder :))
