Photographer’s Note

This was taken in Kobe's Injinkan, where all the foreign settlers use to live, but now all the western buildings are trasformed into museums and they have done a very very good job of it too, everytime I go there it reminds me of home.

It certainly does look more European than Asian. The diffuse lighting provides softness & shadow detail. Well done!

I like indeed of this statue Daniel, the anatomy of statue is perfect between the green leaves, the vegetation on the facade together with the curving and the title of the building gives a great picture.

Well done photo, Dan, of the lady statue in front of the ivy-covered building. Nice autumnal color palette. This is a motive indeed that I could imagine finding in many a European city as well. Good shot.

Oh - welcome in the club Dan - Yes it seems the naked body (specially women) inspired artist and sulptures around the world - I actually got some of my own - but I'm sure they will be posted - thanks for the view - I like the background and compostion.

This is an interesting place. It really gives maybe a Parisian feel. I like the point of view with the foreground element giving a feel of peeking over to this statue. The contrast between the green and grey is really nice, too. The green stands out so strongly like this. Nicely done.
