Photographer’s Note
Taken in the crowd.
People streams too busily, as if they needed to go somewhere in a hurry, but actually the town itself is very small, it doesn't take 4 mins to walk through the district.
I think the district is very good for photography. If anybody has got a chance to go there, don't forget taking your camera in your bag, you can take photos for a half day there.

This works quite nice. I catually like the prominance given to the blurred shirt here. Its utter domunance here really drives home how crowded it is. Theres a bit of softness in the focus here. I wonder if you have your camera set properly to your eyes. That could ause the lack of focus I sometimes see in your photos. Its subtle, not overpowering but would be useful to fix.

Hi Lauryn. I like this series a lot and I do hope you have a few more - when I was at Kobe Chinatown it was raining but I do agree with you that this is a very interesting area to snap photos. This shot again came out quite good, I like the tilt and the girl as a sort of main character at the left. The blurred foreground person at the right is okay and balances the total, although a little less of him/her might be a bit better. Keep going.

Hi Lauryn, Thanks for bring us to this busy market place. I get the feeling that you have to squeeze your way there. Good capture of the highlighted Chinese Characters on the top of the shop and the hurry up mood in this environment.

That's funny for I haven't thought about that. I just saw a place that was not too interesting for me. I love the idea that everybody sees something else in a place or in people.
If I still have the chance, or the envy, to go in Kobe, I'll try once more. I wonder if my state of mind would change after seeing your serie.
At this time, I was not aware of my future passion's coming of age :). I was still buying Postal Cards !

Good framing and timing. That motion blurr is great to balance the static background. Atmosphere well captured, also good to include the words above to link this to 'China town'. Lovely pic.
