Photographer's Note

It is a mystery to me why on a sunny day at ISO800 I can only manage 1/30 sec. I should throw my CPL away, but then the glare through the trees would have been terrible.
Anyway, still walking somewhere within the enormous complex of shrines and various building that make up Ieyasu's resting place. We came across this lady raking leaves along these endless steps. It was amusing to see so many young Japanese huffing and puffing as the climbed up these steps, while the older visitors took it in their stride- obviously fitter than the young ones. Not sure if the trees you see are examples of the famous Japanese ceders from which much of the timber was used to construct the old buildings and which now provide timber for renovation.

As for the title, it points to the woman's rosy cheeks, obviously reddened due to her job which must keep her constantly outdoors.
