When I’m in Japan, I’m often thinking about Village People, the 70’s disco group, in which all members were wearing a different costume...

The parallel might not be obvious, but once strolling on the streets, going in shopping centers or using public transport, you immediately observe up to which extent every workers wear an "official" suit.

Just like on this photo, you might think it’s a police officer, but he’s simply a dispatcher, guiding trucks coming in and out of a construction site. So shinning badges, white gloves and special helmets are not reserved only for cops and many people wear the signs of authority...
