Photographer's Note
A batch of maguro (tuna) sushi coming towards me at a kaitenzushi (lit. "revolving sushi") restaurant. At kaitenzushi places sushi is placed on a moving belt from which customers take whatever they want to eat. Depending on the place you can also special order something which they will make and then deposit on the belt near you. When you are done, the bill is determined by the number and color of the plates. Needless to say, it's best to go into a fairly crowded place so that the sushi is less likely to have been in rotation for a long time.
In this shot, I deliberately waited for a batch of tuna as it is one of the most colorful varieties of sushi.

Very nice use of diagonal lines, excellent DOF, interesting use of the chef as the frame. Color shows that the tuna is still fresh :). Good photo of Japan daily life.

Excellent capture of the whole sushi kaitenzushi atmosphere, DOF is great because it's still possible to see the other customers, and chef, yet it doesn't interfere with the main maguro subject. Those look like some real big pieces, I thought portions would be smaller in Japan.

Everything works in this interesting shot.
I especially like the DOF and the white-red colors as in the flag of Japan... Very well done.

Hi, Mike!
I really like the colors here! The red of the tuna looks delicious, and the rest of the picture matches this red color well. The composition and point of view is excellent; you get the food, the chef, plates and costumers. Also your choise of focus and background blur is very fine. All in all a mighty good picture!
