Photographer’s Note

Uralsk is located between two rivers Ural and Chagan. This is how it looks from a glaider. The oldest part of the city can be seen in the lower right corner of the picture. It is called Kureni. The old name of the river was Yaik. The town was called Yaitskiy gorodok. The first inhabitant of Yaitskiy gorodok were Yaitskie Cossacks.

Great Shot Sergey, you really risked something to take this nice picture ... and to get it straight. Sharpness and DOF are great. I like the colors, very nice and vibrant. Well done

You must have done some climbing to get to this vantage point. Incredible sweeping vista of the city. If not for the haze (which is not your fault) this would have been a really sharp capture.
