Photographer’s Note

It is written on the stone "Leningrad". Dedicated to soldiers who have fought against Germans in World War 2.

St.Petersburg was called Leningrad during Soviet times and right now St.Petersburg again.

And the photo was taken in Almaty. Almaty was called Alma-ata during Soviet times and right now Almaty again.

Almaty comes from "alma" and "ati", and means "city named apple" in Turkish.

Hello Alper,
Time and Countries, change names, I hope this stone remains.For the soldiers who fought and died, defending the city of Almaty.
Maybe not every ones opinion.
Nice photo, though would liked to see more of the whole scene.
