Photographer's Note

I don't want to leave this lake quite yet. We came hiking up that valley in the background and it was a nice view that met us after all that climbing, the moment where we finally arrived the mythical lake. After lunch, and after I was done photographing, we continued further up the hills. We knew we had 500 more vertical meters to climb on the side of the lake. As we climbed, the views got better and better. The sun was shining down in the valley and at 3500 meters, it's good to have some breaks looking back at the lake. This was a last glance back at the lunchplace and the Karakol Valley before the rest of the lake and the glacier appeared. And the hailstorms. For the whole climb we had all kinds of weather, but eventually the sun returned. I recommend if you are in Kyrgyzstan and want a wild experience in nature.
