Nice portrait. This reminds me for the "war" between Pepsi and Coca-Cola in the middle of the 90's in India. The streets were looking surnatural with dozen of ads freshly painted...
As you asked for a "contrast workshop", I tried one ;-)

I can't help with the workshop but I hope someone can, as this is a truely wonderful image (I see that Pierre has just posted one).
Great eye contact and intimacy.
Excellent

Interesting glimpse, Caleb. It's unfortunate that the girl's face is slightly out of focus, but you've caught a wonderful expression.

My favorite pictures are portraits and people.
Her you caught a very good expression, and a very good moment.

Very nice, Caleb! I love you managed to capture her in traditional garb, drinking a can of Coca Cola! The Coke seems so out of place but that's what makes this photo all the more charming!
As per your invitation I tried a workshop for you.

Nice portrait that tells a lot about the intermixture of the traditional and the modern in today's Southeast Asia (I'm talking about the coke tin). Yep, she's too dark. If you have Photoshop you can do this: Go to Layers, create a duplicate layer, then use the drop-down menu to blend in Screen mode. This brightens the entire picture and ,akes her bright - but overexposes the background, which is currently just right. So you get the erasor tool (make sure it's got a soft tip) and erase the background areas down to the original background. Before you start erasing, use the Opacity slider to reduce the opacity of the top layer till you like the look of the background. Then note the percentage of that opacity, and set the opacity of the erasor at the same level. Cheers, Philip. (If you want you can select the background, but it's probably not necesssary).

Too backlit for me, easy to take care of, the coke is interesting. This is going to end up being a beautiful portrait.

You could have put a bit more of fill flash or now you can try to eliminate some of the bright background which outcasts the subject. Otherwise, it is interesting to see the contrast between traditional culture and western influence.
