Photographer's Note

When we think of Penang, the image of the Penang bridge or Komtar comes to mind. Going back a mere 20 years, Komtar was bustling with a hive of activity.

There was the "Super Komtar" and "Yaohan" departmental stores, Odeon theatre, KFC, McD, A&W, food court, banks, shops and even a mini amusement park (at the top level beside the dome).

Fast forward 20 years, all these are gone with the exception of KFC, a few remaining shops and some governmental offices. With the bulk of the businesses gone, Komtar has been left in a state of disrepair.

However, as I visit Komtar again recently, I am surprised that even though nobody wants to go there anymore, it is still well kept and maintained cleaned.

Another HDR from me with the 3x exposure method.
