A Happy New Year 2006 to everyone!!!!

I’ll start off the New Year with a shot at 33,000 feet in the sky. I was on my way home and the sky was overcast and filled with rain clouds. Looking out of the window I suddenly noticed this flickering of light peeping through the clouds. It’s too early for a sunset but a scene not to be missed. This scene reminds me of a sentence in a song popular around Christmas time which reads: “A ray of hope flickers in the sky”
While 2005 may be filled with sufferings and disasters, I am optimistic that the New Year will bring hope, peace and respect for one another.
The quality of this shot may not be perfect as it has to go through two layers of glass on the window and the overcast resulted in a bumpy ride but I would like to share this moment that I enjoyed. Another zoom in shot can be seen in WS.

as I set out to go celebrate the passage of this year i see your delightfull image. COngratulations the colors are magnificent and the composition gorgeous the cloud her is fantastic.

This is for sure one of the best airborne captures I have seen! I have done a few myself but nothing like this... Totally awesome colours in a very appealing composition... well done, my friend! A good start of the new year, which I hope will be good to you!

First of all a happy and better new year to you, family and your nice pictures. As usual your fine world pictures and compositions. Excelent vertical format of this high point view in a excelent enquadrement. A real quality approach of the impressive and beautiful sky so well captured and framed.

You handled well the light conditions and here we have a good work nicely composed. The best to you, to your great message and also to your 2006 year work.

Hi Aloysius. That's great clarity and sharpness from an airplane. You might want to remove the little bit of noise with a dedicated program like Noiseware. Nice take Aloysius.

Despite the shooting through glass, this shot retains its alluring appeal and quality. I like the different layers and textures of the clouds, the drama, and the incredible lighting. Perhaps a little grain or noise, but that does not really detract here. All the very best in 2006, Aloysius.

HI Aloysius, and Happy New Year !
That's a very nice view for having been shot from a plane, looks like the window was clean, I never manage to get those lucky places ;-)
There's quite a Mordoresque dimension in this view brought by the dominating dark tones and the shapes of clouds, however if we consider this light to be a sign of hope then it's very optimistic and successful !
