They'll all be lonely tonight and ...

| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
After yesterday's posting on one of the twins of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, today the inside out.
Around 5:30 it was pretty easy to walk in with the cleaners and some other personnel. Guess security is confident enough from the control room where they monitor the cameras. In the meantime I was monitoring my camera and caught this security guard passing by below me.
Being in such an incredibly big building, seemingly on your own, makes you feel quite tiny and lonely. In a sense you hope to be found, to be seen by someone at some point. The following song of Del Amitri suits the situation:
Post office clerks put up signs saying position closed
And secretaries turn off typewriters and put on their coats
Janitors padlock the gates
For security guards to patrol
And bachelors phone up their friends for a drink
While the married ones turn on a chat show
And they'll all be lonely tonight and lonely tomorrow.
Technical note:
Shot it from the hand with VR on. Results are probably better from the tripod. Picture is cropped and slightly sharpened. Resized and a frame around it. |

Hi Dennis,
You've got your way here and you have a D200 in hand now! So KLCC is real quiet yeah...Well good. Cause during normal working hours it is really busy with shoppers, working personnel and people in transition of train walking around.
Adam
Hallo Dennis,
Prima stukje werk...mag zoiets graag zien.
Groet, Henk
Hi Dennis
Congrats on getting your new Nikon D200. You must be busy discovering its potentials, judging from the 2 photos that you have posted to date. Hope to see more photos of your stay in Asia.
BTW, please email me the address of Desmond.
Cheers / Steven
