Hello friends in TE.

One of the chief characretistic of Malay Architecture is the articulation and decoration of building. Most decorations focus on openings such as window rails( Jerejak), ventilations (Kerawang), roof eaves (Meleh) and rafter boards( Papan Cantik). The rafter board captured here is one of the lesser detail in artistic sense of words. The jungle myna was flying off as the shot was taken.

Thanks for viewing.

Hi Jusni.
Bella foto con ottima composizione e ottima esecuzione.
Ciao Renzo

Hi,
The same bird is also known as Myna in India...and the same kind of rooftops in many parts of Himachal, Urissa, Andhra and Bengal.

Hello Jusni
An interesting architectural report you presented here to my Canadian eyes!
The bird's color matches well that of roof! Too bad it did'nt pose on the rafter board!
By the absence of reflects on rooftop, I'm convinced you used a polarizing filter, eventhough it's not mentioned.
Have a good day.
Robert

Hi Jusni,

Glad to see you back with your regular and encouraging critiques.

This turns up to be an interesting composition. Wondering if you were just lucky to have the jungle myna in flight or you were waiting for her to take off from the roof. As an architect, I like your observations on the traditional Malay architecture which is unique to malaysia.

I am surprised that 1/500 cant even freeze the movement at the tip of the wing which must be moving pretty fast for a small bird. But the in-flight pose is great!

Hello Jusni
Long time no see! Hope you are doing fine. The timing of this image is very good as the myna flys over the roof. Specially eye catching is the rafter board of the tiled roof. Good work!
Best Regards
Angshu

simple yet very appealing! the colors and brightness well saturated. i like malaysian architecture, my farmhouse is built in a way like it!...:-)
and the myna (mayna in pilipino) is the main course here, it reminds me of our pet back home- she mimicks a lot.

- Funny and excellent shot in the nick of a loss, beautiful architectural detail, well done!
Greetings.

Hi Jusni,
Excellent shot, you show us the architecture in a very artistic way. Bravo! Sharpness is amazing! The roof looks like a bird flying in opposite direction to the real bird.
Congratulations,
MCV

Hi Jusni,

excellent! Really beautiful moment, this bird in its freedom. Clever to include the roof which gives location reference. Great composition!

Carlos
