Photographer’s Note

The tour schedule to Lake Khovsgol, said an overnight stop in the small town of Hujirt, but the beds weren't made, & the room hadn't been cleaned, so our Russian tour jeep, continued on about another 20-30 km, until we reached this remote roadhouse, where we stayed the night. Along the way, locals were selling fresh berries in glass jars.

Bulgan is the name of the Province, or 'aimaag'. The structure at left, appears to be for hitching horses & camels for shaving. (The wool & hair is used to make gloves, blankets, etc, for the long, cold winters)

The lettering on the lower strut of the structure, reads HAADAM, which, in English, is 'Naadam'.

Attractive veil of clouds in pastel colours...
I notice the satellite dish, I guess that's the only option if they want to watch TV out there!

The silhoutte of that woodwork on the left is the most important thing here, it grabs all the attention and stands proud and nice in the framing with a nice palet of colours int he sky...very nice.

Fascinating silhouettes against the beautiful sunset. I couldn’t imagine that their should be a modern sculpture in this place, but after reading your info I can imagine how it is used.

The silhouette of the structure against the backdrop of the evening sky looks amazing. What you descibe in your note about the structure seems quite scary to though. I hope the horses and camel are not in too much pain!

un coucher de soleil qui malgré le peu de détail qu'on perçoit, dévoile toutefois facilement la provenance.
De belles silhouettes, amsi une photo qui aurait peut-être gagné en intérêt si on avait pu voir mieux cet endroit.

Beautiful photo, but perhaps there are a few things that could be done to make it a little more effective. It was a shame that the images were burned at a small size to the CD in the photo store, so I think I might have compensated for the small size with a frame (although that is not your style, I know). Another thing is that it would be more appealing if the building to the right were silhouetted to a greater extent, as the existing details I can see are just a little too insignificant. It is a great photo nevertheless; don't get me wrong - great colours and patterns, with a mysterious mood. I will prepare a workshop shortly. Thanks!

Some pictures in TE are exactly as I think I would take them. This is a good example: I also like to take foregrounds liks silhouettes if the light permits it and you did just that. I appreciate the fact that I could still see some details at the horizon.

The silhouette of the wooden structure is eye catching as it stands out against the pastel shades of the sunset sky. Even with the silhouetted FG, we can still see some details in the horizon. Excellent picture!
