Photographer’s Note

A view from the peninsula jutting out into the lake known as 'Jankhai'. I liked the 2 trees at right seemingly lower than the water level of the lake, which is frozen in winter.

Apologies for the small size, but that's what the film lab in UB scanned them as (597 p, instead of 1700 p).

Une très belle composition bien cadrée, les couleurs sont douces et agréables. Le lieu semble désert alors qu'il invite à la promenade et à la découverte.

Hello Chris,
A fine composition with the shingle beach making a good lead line to the far mountains. Good idea to include the foreground trees which introduce another dimension and offer a sense of depth. Looks a very peaceful spot.

Hi Chris,

The curve of the shore line is an asset to the composition. The trees are helping in the framing of the scenery. The point of leads our eyes toward the mountains in the background which ic giving depth to the composition. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors. have a nice day.

This is a fine composition, with the two evergreens for framing and creating depth!
Fresh delicate colours, and I notice the beachline curving into infinity...
Looks like clear clean water, might be fun to try fishing there!

Really attractive landscape of Mongolia… even if the image is small… The color of water is very beautiful and gives desire for swimming there. The walk along this lake must be very pleasant. Splendid wild space that these two trees of the foreground comes to balance. Thank you Chris.

Very beautiful landscape. Nice view of the green mountains with peaks covered by ice. The winter in Mongolia seems to be so different! The colors are really great, excellent POV, good sharpness.

Very unique colors to this lovely landscape.
The treeless mountains look like the British Ilse with the mossey peaks contrasting brilliantly with the lake and sky.
