Photographer’s Note

I was about to go to sleep, there was this wonderful moonlight, so I tried to shoot this night view among ghers in our campground. I used a small torch to lighten the two ghers, since in Mongolia is very difficult, out of big cities (and sometimes there too) to have light by night. Long exposure and a tripod, of course, allowed me to get the shot. I like it because it looks like some martian spaceship landed on our planet. Enjoy and have a good week! Rikk

Absolutely beautiful colour, composition, and the celestial body which looks like an exploding sun but I know is the moon. You call those round tents "ghers"? We use them here sometimes (borrowed the idea from you), but we call them "yurts". Very nice photo, Riccardo.
