Photographer's Note

A simple shot of Irrawaddy river scape on a greyish late afternoon near Nyaung U township - the natural source of life that never disappointed the Burmese for centuries. It's the backbone and a lifeline of the country that flows 2000 km north to south replenishing the land with water, fish and fertile soil, and
inseparable from their daily life.

This somewhat evokes a feeling of utter peace and calm to me before the day turns to pitch darkness.
