******This is my contribution to Luko's Burma day in honour of all those men in orange and women in pink who are currently risking their lives to defy a tirany*********

I am reposting a photo I uploaded ages ago, at the beginning of my TE participation. I have resized it not cropped it as much and played a bit with it.

I apologize as it is an authomatic scan done at a photolab from my original photos altogether, so the quality sucks, plus my quality as a photographer had not benefited from Trekearth's collective wisdom yet.

Early morning while waiting in Bago's main road for the elusive bus to Hpa An which never came, watched the nuns going from home to home and from store to store collecting foodstusffs for the monastery

Thank you, daniel

Don't apologize. It's a beautiful photo and an admirable tribute to the people who are now standing up against their outrageous dictatorship. Yes, they carry a lot on their heads. -Hugh

Hi Daniel,
Couldn't help noticing the person in the corner who looks like a government agent. Normally I would say "too bad he is in the picture," but perhaps not, given the current context. Today's news were not good and let's hope for the better. Fine capture. Regards,
Hakan

Bonsoir Daniel,

Amicalement Marc

let's all honour those man and women - thanks!

Hola Daniel.
Felicitaciones.
Abrazos.

Let’s give them and all the Burmese people the moral support they need in current hard situation and struggle for democracy.
Antonio

Hi Daniel,
The color is so vibrant!

Daniel,
no apologies for the technical shortcuts at this picture. The occasion is a somber and adequate one and nothing else counts here. The two points are for your sensitivity for the matter and for the fact that you even have something that really fits into it. Lets hope that pink and orange is stronger than brown and green.
Regards, Peter

Salut Daniel,

Bon week end

Hi Daniel, the pink over red is just great here, I think the reposted version is much better... and the moment was right to click... A pity for the face on the left...

Cheers
Alexander

Lovely shot Daniel, the cherry on the cake being (for me) the man's face on the lft, passing... contrasting so much with the pink-robed nuns.
Timely upload but full of intrinsic merit...
Francis

Hola Daniel,

bella imagen

saludos amigo.

Hi Daniel,
This has a very good quality for a scanned photo, even much better than many digital ones around here. But i always have problems with seeing the figures from their backs, i don't know why but for me, seeing their front is more attractive. However you made great use of the repetitive pink graphics, therfore the monks lose their personality and become elements of a rather graphical post. Nice of you to add that red panel, it really cheers up the compo.
Cheers,
Deniz
