Budist monks are one of the subjects you can not resist to take their pictures. Some monks are happy about it, some dislikes. Ofcourse we already have an image in our minds how a budist monk should look like. On my journey to Indochine at some moments I was so frustrated ( I am not saying I am right, just the already existing excellent mystic image in my mind does it) seeing some monks chatting with mobile telephones in the back garden of monasteries, or mocking each other, drinking coke, how donations are collected etc. This young student monk in Mandalay made me feel he knows what he is doing.

As I had set my camera to 400 ISO for interior capture of their meal time , I had no time to bring it to outdoor ISO seeing this little man on my way out.

Hi Erdogan!
Nice portrait of this novice.I like the composition with him in front of the stones with the nice signs.
The hand on top of the stone is a bit distracting .

I really like this portrait, the background is very fitting. Good composition and lovely colors. Perhaps you coud crop the picture since the hand at the top i a bit distracting. Otherwise this is a excellent capture.
