Hi Marilyn,
good picture showing the peace of this rural area. Hard to imagine that it can be so rudely attacked by fate.
Regards, gerrit

Keep it up!
;D

Hello Marilyn,
Great captured shot. It's not only the woman you caught perfectly, the whole picture is bathing in a wonderful composition. Her pose, the way you used the elements and the different layers of colours make this one to be a very good one.
Your work is really making progress...keep it up.
Regards, Henk

Hi Marilyn. The sad stories of Myanmar still dominate our news broadcasts along with the tragedies in China. I think the biggest tragedy is the help these people so desperately need is being denied them by their own people. Great photo, way better than what we see on the news broadcasts. I only hope it will return to this sooner rather than later. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Bonjour Marilyn,

Hi Marilyn!
A well composed image from Birma`s countryside. The oxcart in the distance gives the image a good depth and I like the wellsaturated green tonesof the riceplants.
The tragedy with the cyclone was terrible but for me this rotten government is more terrible.
Now after yesterday`s news ,I hope the international help will reach these people very fast.

Hi Marilyn,
a nicely framed shot in a well chosen vertical format. Very well composed with the cart also included. The light is perfectly managed and it is great that is possible to see also her face covered with tanaka paste.
Very nice one and also a great note.
Have a pleasant Sunday!

Jean-Charles

Indeed the typhoon was a terrible tragedy for these long-suffering people but the even bigger tragedy is the help the survivers so urgently need is being denied to them. Let's hope and pray things improve soon. You must feel the tragedy even more having shared your life with the people.
Excellent shot of the woman working in the rice fields. The vertical format works well to include the old cart in the background. Good work

Hello Marilyn,
A first rate example in photojournalism, and also very very sad. The quality of of the photograph is surpassing, exquisitely composed, flawlessly exposed. Perhaps I am reading into it but there is a sadness in the woman's face that prefigures the disaster to come. What lush green rice plants, and what a calamity to visit the area. I would like to join in your sentiment of sympathy to the survivors — they are the one's to feel sorry for, not those who perished.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Bonjour Marilyn
That's a real long gap for a new post! A fine shot with the lush green of the paddy. The cart in the FG & the soil colour contrasts beautifully. She'd seen you taking the shot, but I like how you brought out details of her face from under the straw hat. Well done!
Best Regards

Hello Marilyn,
what a pleasant view and a what a sad reminder. But the capture is really nice, wonderful brightness, she is standing there at the right position and the colours are lovely. Now there seem to be a chance for accepted help from outside for all those poor.

Hi Marilyn,

hard life in this place. We can see a work-girl surrounded by rice fields. I liked this pov and the cart in the background. The light is perfect too and colors beautiful. I liked the way you put the woman inside the photo, she is surprised watching the camera

The photo is well divided in three horizontal sections, each one of them can exist autonomously - the cart, the green ricefield and the muddy water. Each of them can be interpreted in a different way, in conjunction with the terrible dissaster.
The looking woman unites the three parts in this unique photo.
Regards,
Asparuh
