Simple and good. Perhaps the impact would have been better if the reflection of the entire hut is captured within the photo? The lady by the steps creates some poignancy in the photo. Good attempt!

Lights on wooden facade are really amazing but the reflection...It's really enviable with golden tones of lights on dark water surface. Great contrasts between green and gold lights too. Perfect clarity in natural colors and sharpness as usual, congratulations.

Hello Marilyn,
Light, the most important thing in colour photograpghy. Magic light, even more important, but hard to find. Sunset light, here in this one? Hmmmm, looks great. Beautiful warm colour tones in real and in the reflection, nice contrast with that much darker green spreaded around the house. The woman sitting there adds a nice focal point, and despite the fact that the image is extreme sharp and that the house is a bit to much centered, i like it in how you caught this in that wonderful light..!!!

Hello Marilyn,

The succinct but informative note puts this lovely image into even better perspective. Habitation of houses built on stilts like this appears to be a timeless practice in so many lands. I just returned from a short trip to Mexico, and in ancient Tenochtitlan (modern Mexico City), that is the way people lived five-hundred years ago. Much farther in the distant past, the Sumerians lived that way, almost five-thousand years ago. I imagine fish would be a major staple for these inhabitants.

At first glance it is difficult to pick out where the reality stops and the reflections begin. The light is gorgeous and the reflections stunning. The construction of the house and the boat moored to it tell us a lot about the daily life of this village.

The housing lake offers some charming reflections in the water. Great sharpness, definition and frame, where the person sitting is the warm on stage.

Wow.. a truly Asian scenery captured at the best time of the day. I like this 'Nipa' house in reflection with the boat floating into the lake, i noticed a slight tilting or maybe it's the leaning house. Great shot, a beautiful one.

Interesting details can be found in almost every section of the photo - below, on and from both sides of the house. The small waterfromt (strong word meybe), on which the woman sits, and the boat below is so good - like the woman is making final preparations on herself and she's going out? :) Or she just enjoys the pleasant day.
